She is adorable! We also adopted Jase from a wonderful family. We went to their home, checked out everything and asked many questions. Our vet told us he was a perfect boxer. I know that doesn't mean something may not come up later, but that's ok, we love him unconditionally. Now if we can just get him out of the bed at night. We started a bad thing. lol!

I actually don't think if it as "my" bed anymore. It belongs to dog. It is nice that he lets hubby and I in it.

Pheona climbs in bed with us in the middle of the night. Murphy is still kenneled but I know once she's out of the kennel, she'll be in bed with us. I told my husband when he returns after his next deployment, there won't be room left in our king size bed. LOL

Lillysdad,
Congrats on letting a new boxer family member in to your life! We lost our boxer in August and it was terrible. It was the first dog my husband and I had as adults and we were such a family. We adopted a boxer puppy in December from a rescue who took in a litter, mom and dad from a shelter. No doubt she's a BYB boxer pup but we too are okay with that. Our last pup was a rescue and we had her for 12 long years. Our last boxer was a fawn and we too wanted another color, so we are now the proud parents of a white. It will be fun to see her grow! |

He starts out in his crate but when he wakes up to go potty around 2, he won't go back to sleep and he howls and cries. So, for us to get some sleep, we put him in bed with us and is out within 5 minutes. But I have to say he sleeps just like a kid...all over the bed.

Pheona starts out under our bed (we call that her bat cave..LOL) and then between 2-4am she jumps in bed. Curls up between us but then she also moves around. She's good at keeping her back to me so hub gets the feet on him. LOL Murphy on the weekends will get up around 6am (that is normal wake up time during the week) so we take her potty & then put her back in bed with us.

When Porter was a pup, Winnie was in the bed and Porter in the crate. Well we graduated Porter to a dog bed in the bedroom, but he would wait until we fell asleep and then climb up. We gave up and let him have it. 2 adults, 60 pound dogs for a while. Oh, my back. Sometimes I'd wake up and I was barely on the mattress.
