Today I got to meet my 5 week old egg-head! Its funny how much boxers change in appearance from week to week and month to month. I almost forgot how baby boxers look nothing like what they will look like later, even eye color. I got to hold Gracie today and I kept thinking how cute she was, and wondered what she will look like in a month as she looks more 'Boxer' like, and as her eyes and nose change color. She played with my shoes for a little bit, looked me in the eyes.... and then saw her mom's boob and headed straight for that. Hungry little girl!
Since I worry about everything, I did notice that her back paws point out a little... like a duck. Some of her littermates were the same. I am guessing at this age they are just trying to keep their balance... but I did see other littermates with the feet facing straight forward. Anything I should worry about?? I read on other forums for other breeds that if a dog has duck-feet, it will correct itself "when the chest drops". I can't wait to get her home and spend lots of time together!!! I also stopped by the Humane Society to drop off paper towels and soap. They were up to 3 Boxers. I went to the cages and visited with the boxers for a little while. They were going bezerk. Just starved for human attention. Made me feel bad. I hope they find a good home soon.

She's beautiful! Not sure about the feet thing...but I hope they go straight fast. I'm sure they're just developing. Check back at 7 weeks hopefully they will.
Ps. Loved the part... "She looked me in the eyes....then saw moms boob and headed straight for that!!!" Lol!!!! Cracked me up. Sent from Petguide.com Free App

She is such a cutie. I can't answer the feet thing either. I just looked at pictures we took when we went to look at Pheona & hers are forwards but some of the other pups in the pictures look like their go the way you mentioned Gracie's. Not sure who her litter mates all went to. Did you bring it up to the breeder???

I think i can kinda see it in the picture. I don't know. Puppies feet always look rubbery and get in weird positions sometimes but you are saying it stayed that way the whole time? I was thinking in slick flooring it might be hard to support their own weight.

Ok I've been watching baby boxer videos and youtube and a lot of them run around that way, especially on slick surfaces. I apologize in advance for all the psycho threads I am going to start as a result of being an over-protective and sheltering boxer worry wart.
