January 1, 2013 at 1am my beautiful best friend past away in my arms. Although i new this will happen eventually i still havent been able to completely accept it. I miss him so much, i cry every day for him. We were so close he was my shadow. I feel guilty that i couldnt give him more time, was it enought the time i spent with him? I hope he knew how much i love him. He is my 3 rd boxer to pass in my 40 yrs but he was the most special of all. Wherever he is i envy whoever is around him. I want my Bono back with me . I hope you are resting in peace. I love you always.

I am so sorry for your loss. I also lost my beloved Lilly on new years morning, in my arms. Its almost been a week and I still cry every day as well. You are not alone, it feels almost as if a piece of you is gone forever, and EVERYTHING reminds you of them, but we will heal. We just will never forget the wonderful times and unconditional love that these companions gave us. I hope you feel better very soon. I take it day by day, but nothing was as bad as the first 3 days. I had to go on anti-depressants to get through this. I feel your pain, and pray for you and Bono.
I take comfort in believing that animals do go to heaven, and will be there to greet us along with lost family when our time comes.
