Anyone ever order through or hear of Hare-Today (www.hare-today.com)? They're located in PA and they have a pretty good selection of meats. Most cheaper than what I've found locally so far, if I've found it at all! Just an example, they offer 3lb of chunked rabbit meat for $13.17lb. I haven't had any luck finding rabbit close enough to where I live yet. I just made an order (to see what shipping would cost) for 15lb of rabbit and 2lb of bison heart which came out to $72.24 total and shipping would be an additional $21.63. I could make this last a good 4 months if not longer. Just wondering if any of you have heard of them.

Why not join a yahoo group/ co-op for raw feeding?

Lynne, I've reached out to that group several different times in several different ways, but nobody is getting back to me! I had to start shopping around.

The prices I've mentioned above aren't really that bad if you break it down. If I paid a total of $93.87 (including shipping) and made it last for 4-5 months, it comes down to $23.47 - $18.77 per month ($5.87 - $4.69 per week). I could also add more organ meat (or heart which could be used as muscle meat) which is pretty cheap and the shipping barely goes up so I could make it last a bit longer than I'm expecting. I was thinking I could do one meal a week with rabbit meat to add the variety. Right now they're getting exclusively beef as red meat. I have tons of pork, but it hasn't been frozen long enough to feed yet.

I'm not at all saying I'm going to stop shopping around to find a better source, but I really want to find good places for lamb, rabbit, and a variety of organs.

I've researched their website... But I thought they were too expensive.

I just placed my first order though My Pet Carnivore based out of Indianapolis.. and I got quite a bit of variety of organs, tripe, and meat for $135.00.. (plus a $15 delivery fee.) ABout 60lbs total.. So everything average to about $2.25 a lb.. Which isn't bad IMO.. Especially since I can't get a lot of the things I ordered around here. I did get some duck and goose which was more than I usually spend per lb, but it will be a nice treat for Rocky

I made a fake order through MPC and my shipping was $32.03 for 20LB of meat (lamb and rabbit @ 10lb ea).

Mandy, I find hare today expensive. I just worked out your 17lbs at it comes to $5.72lb, to me that is just to much, even for Rabbit.

I would post a thread on the other site we are on asking where NH feeders purchase their bulk meats. You might get better feed back over there since its a huge Raw feeding group.
