Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to share my excitement about my first ever rescue!
Have always loved boxers and currently have a 6yr old male named Tyson who is a real sweet boy.

The rescue is also older, her name is Gracie and she is 7 yrs old. Not sure on her history or what her story is but she was dumped and I found her online at a pound a few hours away and knew I had to save her instantly. She is un-spayed and I imagine she has probably had a fair few litters of puppies (Makes me sick to think that her old owner has just dumped her on the side of the road and probably replaced her with a younger female - not sure on this exactly but it could be a possibilty as she hasn't been spayed).
Because I personally can't pick her up, she was collected for me from the pound by a really nice boarding kennel where she is staying as they pound couldn't keep her on for any longer.
She is being delivered to me in 4 days and I CAN'T WAIT!
The boarding kennel have emailed me a picture, its not very good because they said they can't get her to stay still (Typical boxer haha) and it shows how skinny she is!
I'll be taking her to the vet when I get her for a check up and to dicuss getting her spayed.

Any advice that you can pass on from your own rescuing experiences would be much appreciated!

I appreciate your patience and the decision that you have taken. It is really appreciable that people like you makes such nice decisions in their life and help the animals that were abused at some points from there owners. It is just not acceptable that a human being is doing things that is simply inhumane.
And all that I want to say about your dog is that she is simply beautiful. And I just love her from the bottom of my heart.
