My first official rescue operation!

Just spoke to Tracilee. They are admitting her to the hospital. It's a flurry of activity right now, so I told her to call me this evening when things have settled down and she's resting for the night. Middle Tennessee Boxer Rescue has a temp foster in Knoxville, TN, and as luck would have it, the Brittany rescue I work for has a transport coming through Knoxville on Saturday that is headed to Missouri. If Tracilee is still in the hospital, we can put Drako on the transport and he'll just hafta come here earlier than expected.

First off, I will be keeping Tracilee in my thoughts & prayers. Glad that another rescue was able to step in & help out. Drako is such a handsome fella. It's good to know that he'll be going to a home where he will be loved & taken care of. I hope once we are in a house of our own (not military housing) to start fostering dogs as well.

OH goodness - sorry about Tracilee being admitted to hospital, I hope they are just being careful and thorough. Awesome news that Tracilee jumped in to help with Drako although these hiccups do happen . We all love seeing their 'silver' faces. Cait will have things figured out before we have our dinners tonight!!!

Cait, I'm so so sorry things worked out this way. Just as long as Drako isn't still sitting in the shelter and he's safe I'm good to go.

They finally found a room for me on the telemetry ward where they can monitor my heart full time and I'm getting settled in. I.V.s x 2, nitro patch, a handful of pills they just brought me, not sure what all they gave me. Based on the headache I'd say he threw another dose of isosorbide at me. ( hate that stuff!)

My cardiac doc finally made it in to see me. He's fairly certain it's the Prinzmetal but isn't sure why I'm having so many episodes. Theres ... Gotta go, I'll finish later. More blood? Blah

You poor thing. They're gonna drain you dry. I'm just glad you're right where you need to be and not on the road somewhere. Whew! That could've been disastrous!

Everything is in the works. Michelle with MTBR is fostering Drako for me. If you get out by the weekend, you can still foster him. If you're still in the hospital, he'll hitch a ride on the NBRAN transport where I'll pick him up in Marshfield, MO. My husband is being a doll and rolling with the punches. Our NHS foster went back to the shelter last weekend, so while a little earlier than planned, it's at least manageable. It's all good. No worries.

Just to update, TRACILEE IS HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL!!! YIPPEE!!!

You gave us all a scare, girlfriend! So glad you're home and resting!

Drako is safe with a temp foster. We're working on getting him transported to Tracilee so that she doesn't have to drive while she's recovering. We'll probably have something worked out for the weekend. By all reports, he's a giant 75 lb. marshmallow.
