Question Tuffies?

Anyone as big of a fan of tuffies as I am?

We got a Tuffy Pig (http://www.vipproducts.com/retail/fi...roducts_id=423 ) when Jasper was an 8 week old puppy. I was looking for a stuffed toy that my dog, Bailey, did not rip apart in two seconds flat and found this pig. It lasted SIX MONTHS before it was destuffed!! We need to get a new one, but they are soooo expensive (I found it in the clearance bin of Petsmart for ten dollars, they don't carry the large ones anymore).

Does anyone know where I can purchase ANY of the large tuffies at a pretty good price????

My dogs are STILL playing with the skin of the pig...it's their favorite toy, even unstuffed!

Was it the pink pig with flowers on it? We got that for my sisters pitbul, the first appendage was off within 48 hours and stuffing was coming out about 12 hours later. We still love them and want to get one for out little one. Please let me know if you find a place online that we can order one at a good price

I seen one the other day at Petsmart.. It was pretty big... I thought it was really expensive though!! I think it was around $32.00. Have you tried the ultimate series? Just wondering because we picked up a tug-o-war for Rocky and I was wondering how they hold up. We also picked up a Jolly Ball and he loves it!

Yes! The pig!!! Ours lasted MONTHS! So funny how what is good for one dog is not good for another...

I still haven't found a "good enough" price on the pig yet...if anyone finds a place, let me know!

Mom2Rocky - I've tried the Ultimate Series and my Bailey tore them up in two seconds flat...but I think what helped us with the pig was that Bailey, who is the one who destroys everything, had no interest in the largeness of the pig...so my normal dogs were able to play with it normally without her digging for stuffing! So if you have a "normal" aggressive chewer, the Ultimate series might work for you!

Well I am not much of a fan personally but Vega is! The Pig is the best! What is considered a "good enough" price?

15-20 (or less) for the pig? I saw that the REALLY big ones (t-rex and another) are on clearance at dog.com but I think they are only $5 less right now...I'm keeping my eye on them!

The Pig is only rated a "7" on their toughness scale. I would think that you would want at least an "8" for a Boxer according to their website. They say a "7" is tough, but "still vulnerable".

It was a fluke I had the pig. My boxer isn't the one that's tough on toys, he prefers throwing around and sleeping with his soft ones and chewing on his hard toys (so thankful)! It's my 40 lb Heinz 57 with an obsession for fuzz is the problem, and she has no interest in the pig because of how large it is. So Jazz is in love with the pig, the problem child hates it, so it doesn't get destroyed immediately - a perfect toy!

Plus, the even tougher ones are even more expensive than the pig!
