Default Clingy Dog!!

i like my puppy alot but lately she seems to be super clingy and it is starting to bug me a little. like this morning we were waken up to her whinning at 6 am only to take her outside and she does not even GO. I mean every move i make she is right behind me. When will she start being a dog and independant. She's 14 weeks old.

Boxers are people dogs, they like to be with their humans. Mine follow me around most of the time.

Mongo follows behind so close that if I stop short he walks into me - lol

That is the reason why i go her, but after i feed her and try to get my own breakfast she is on my heels. Somedays it can be just what i need after a long day but when we are just trying to relax it can get a little annoying. This mornings episode just touched me the wrong way lol if you catch my drift....

Ours follow us around most of the time too. Your puppy is adorable. She will be a faithful companion, always nearby.

I sure wouldnt mind having that gem of a doll velcroed to me 24|7!

If it was my decision,Valant would come to work with me.

I understand how it can get annoying, so when you get annoyed just think of how life would be without her! And then bend down and give her a little pat on the head, tell her she's a good girl! She's doing what she's supposed to be doing and she's still a puppy! Abby is by my side always and I wouldn't have it any other way!

My pup was the same way..When I was in the kitchen I was afraid that he would burn his nose on the stove.
Here is what I did to stop his following.
I got him a puppy bed and rewarded him and said "bed"every time he got on it. Now every time i need him to stop following for a while I say "bed". He goes there and gets a treat. When he tries to leave, I would just say "stay". (I earlier taught him stay).
I had to watch him like a hawk for a while because he would try and sneak off..when he did I would just put him right back. After a few times he eventually figured it out.
When it was time to come off the bed I would say his release command "OK" and make a huge fuss on how good he is and a treat. He now thinks its a game
It does take a little time and patience but the payoff in the end is huge
Dont get me wrong I love it when Kona follows me but sometimes it could be unsafe.

Yep, Gracie steps on my feet a lot and it hurts! lol! She is always by my side. I love it even when I don't love it.
