His surgery went well. He was NOT a fan of the cone. LOL

I found the cure for his eating the tree...he switched to stealing and eating presents as soon as I put some under it.

He swears it wasn't him but...I have pictures.

Just saw this thread. Be very careful with the pine needles. My nieces dog spent 3 days in emergency because he wasn't pooping was vomiting his food and dehydrated. The vet thinks he got a pine needle. They can't do surgery because it's too thin and they may not find it so he has to pass it and hope it doesn't poke through anything on the way out. She feeds him cannes every 3 hours to try stop the vomiting. He was sick again tonight so now she's watching to make sure he doesn't throw up again and she needs to go back to the vet. The vet said by the ultrasound it's a toothpick or pine needle.

Last year was both of my dogs first Christmas & Tree, we have a fake tree which I set up and left empty for a couple of days for them to get used to; then when I decorated I put little bells all around the bottom and the jingles scared them away (LOL). I didn't have any issues last year or this year, maybe my babies are just woosies though
