I also was wondering a good way to call him in he doesn't seem to listen when it's time to come inside so I end up having to stand out there forever yelling for him. We are taking him out on a leash but with winter coming that is going to be hard

As for the not coming when called thing, does he know his own name? Start off with name recognition. For example I say "Wyatt", and he will look, not always right away but within 5 seconds. Everytime I say his name and he looks I give him a marker word like "good boy" and he gets treated. It's positive reinforcement. If he doesn't look at me within the 5 seconds i say his name again. Try doing this in the house for 5 minutes at a time about 5 times a day. You can also add things like "Wyatt watch me", then eventually just "watch me". Hope you have better luck! What about obedience classes? They are great for bonding and you will learn how to train a lot of things. I agree sounds like he needs to be let out as soon as he's let out of the crate as watched more closely.
