Presley is a seven month frisky pup. He has never eatin anything besides his bones till last Friday. During the day he is gated off in the kitchen. Friday he decided to eat some of the trim and then the floor. He was good all weekend, we even left him by himself Friday night for a bit. But then today, I came home from work and he tore it apart. I do not have any other place to put him and don't wanna replace the floor until he is completely trained. Help please!

Do you think it's to late to start now? he's seven months old and we have had him since he was eight weeks with just gating him in the kitchen.

we only crate Dixie when we leave, she sleeps with us at night with our bedroom door shut so we know where she is all night, normally she just sleeps till about 4am and has to go out. I don't think it's too late, there are some on here who will be more help with starting later with an older pup that I can be. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the help! We used gates to block off the area for today and that worked great but I may still consider the crate as a precaution. I feel like he is going through and stage where he is going to destroy the house.

The crate will probably be the best depending on how you have the gates. Right now we have a gate that blocks our upstairs (it's carpeted & until I know Murphy is house broken, I don't want her on the carpets unattended) then we have a gate blocking our laundry room as that is where the cat food/litter is. My boys don't do a good job at mostly closing the laundry room door so the dogs can't go in.
