Smile Hello from Kentucky

My name is Brandi, of course im new here. We adopted (from her owners) a 1 1/2 year old AKC registered boxer female and brought her home yesterday. We also have a 3 year old american cocker spaniel, a 4 year old siamese cat (rescue) and a 3 year old amazon parrot (also rescued).

our cocker is very laid back and as calm as any animal could get. as is our cat and bird.. our new boxer is a new light of life in the home .. she comes with a huge boxer personality this isnt my first boxer, i had a boxer we several years ago. but while looking for another rescue i stumbled upon her and fell in love. her parents were having to relocate to another part of the state and it was impossible to take her with them. and it clearly broke their hearts to have to give her up.

she is the complete opposite of any dog i have ever had she is so full of energy and EXTREMELY hyper active. like a huge puppy
from talking with her owners about her and then getting her home her problems are rather simple and things i can work on and improve in time..

1) she trys to run out the door if she thinks she can get past you
2) she's high strung and gets very excited with new company
3) she jumps up on people
4) she pulls on leash so hard she drags you across the yard.. HOWEVER when i got her home i put an anti pull harness on her and that seems to have improved A LOT.. she went with me on a small walk this morning and she only tried to pull a couple of times but i didnt have to fight to walk her. so thats already improving ASAP
and last but not least
she was vetted before we picked her up and we were told that she had struvite crystals in her urine. they put her on a special diet (royal canin oc i think was the name of it) for the next 30 days then a recheck and go from there.

but thats a bit about her.. or what i know so far.. OH HER NAME IS MOLLY and here is a picture of miss molly and her new favorite spot of the house.. on top of love seat and one of her looking out the window on the way to her new forever home.
