I'm not an expert at all, but when i took my pup to the vets (This may be different as you're dog is older) they said it's common to see boxers ribs, its normal if you put your hand over them and they feel like piano keys

Hello! My Ziggy, a white boxer, will be 6 months old on friday 7.12.2012. and he weighs 41.8 lbs. Is that a normal weight ?

He looks good to me too! My boy Rocco is not a big guy - he is three and weighs 60lbs. He's a lean, mean (not really) Boxer machine!!!
