I am new to this forum but I am not new to boxers. Here is my boxer story:
When I was young, about 7, my parents let me get a dog, a boxer mix she was with me until I turned 21. Maggie was a fawn colored boxer mix and she could put up with a lot of loving torture haha. I dressed her up and painted her nails, laid on her, read to her and cried to her. My little brother was born when she was older and he crawled on her, pulled her ears and lips, chewed her toys and slept in her bed with her after a nightmare. She was wonderful and I will never forget her. And soon after she passed I met my baby boy, Edgar. The humane society called to say they had another boxer mix and we went to see him. I did not think I would connect with him but I wanted to try. As soon as I saw him I thought he is a beautiful boy and when I sat down he came over to me a lay his head in my lap looking at me. Not with the normal boxer grin but a sad smile, like he knew I was hurting. I can say that right there I knew no matter how much it hurt when they left me, I would always have a boxer in my life. Sorry it's so long and thanks for reading!

Hi & Welcome from TX. What a beautiful story. So sorry for your loss. Our first dog (mine & my husbands) was a boxer mix named Maggie (which we always called her Maggie May). We got her when she was 3 months old & she was with us till she was 12.5 yrs. She had lymphoma & by the time we discovered it, it was to far along. I miss her something & not a day goes by that I don't think of her.
