Aloha! Next week we will be getting our 10 week old boxer puppy! Any tips on introducing her to my children? One of the reasons we decided to get a boxer was because of their reputation with kids... My daughters are 3 and 5.
Can anyone share experiences? Thanks. Domino |

Hi. My daugher, her husband, 4yo son and 1.5 yo son got their first boxer about 6 mo ago. The puppy proved to be too much for the little one so he just ignores him and the 4yo put up with the pups antics and now they are best friends. Be prepared for the pup to push the little ones down, to wash their faces and to nip at them with puppy teeth. That is all normal just teach to kids to tell the dog no but do not allow them to hit or bite the dog. They will be great buddies!

Just remember, your puppy is a baby too. Remind your little ones that they shouldn't hit the pup, pull her ears or anything like that. The pup may knock them down (not meaning to), will lick them & possibly nibble on them. Hope you enjoy your new edition.
