Hi all, new boxer dad here. We (my girlfriend and I) just brought home an 8 week old male brindle named Bruno on Sunday. It's been an experience so far lol. It's been since the 80's when I was a kid that I last had a new puppy, and haven't had a dog since 1991 when I left for the military. I've pet sit my parents cocker spaniel a few times in recent years so I wasn't totally rusty, but not totally prepared either.

Oh yes, taking care of a puppy is a whole other ball game! I questioned my sanity the first few weeks of waking up multiple times to let Duke go potty at night. Luckily he was older (16 weeks) and good at waking us up (most of the time) when he had to go.
Hang in there! and enjoy him while he's little |

His tail is docked, but we are going to leave the ears floppy. I totally love the look. We also decided that cropping the ears was just a lot of work that we didn't want to go through. I've attached a couple of pics from the day he came home. Sorry about the quality they're from my cell phone. I still haven't gotten any good sessions in with my camera.

Hello and welcome from middle Tennessee.
Ah, to only have one pup.... I've forgotten how easy that really is. Raising a pup in my opinion is simple. Use common sense, love it and forgive its mistakes just like you would a human child. Also, prepare your home much like you would for a toddler. Secure any cleaning chemicals, wires, lose items, etc. Then just add some food, water and lots of love, love, love! The rest will work itself out over time. |

Hi & Welcome from TX. Bruno is adorable. I know when we first brought home both of our girls, I thought I was going crazy when we were up through the night. I love my girls & don't know what I'd do if I didn't have them.

You will so love your boxer. I will be bringing my baby home in December. He will be my first brindle and will have floppy ears. They are so soft and fun to touch. Stay patient with him, keep him active and you will have a great partner!
