I just recently found this site as well, a lot of great information and great people. Welcome and I really hope this was just a one time episode...I pray for you guys, she is absolutely precious.

Hello and welcome. Raina is a beautiful girl; the is a very informative forum and as Sue-Goudasmom says - read up on the different holistic threads and I am sure she is more than willing to offer you advice. keep us posted

Thanks again for all the well wishes....Raina had her ultrasound with the cardiologist today. They found NO signs of fluid, masses, or any tumors on her heart!!! That does not rule out cancer completely as this is still the most common reason for a pericardial effusion to occur. However there are rare caseS that are "idiopathic," meaning they don't have a reason. The cardiologist said she may just be one of those rare cases, but it can reoccur at anytime. She goes back for another ultrasound of her heart in 6-8 weeks. In the mean time, she's been loving the extra attention and treats, along with lots of extra trips to the dog park and taking over the bed at night. Definitely makes us appreciate our time with her a whole lot more.
