Hello from Ontario, Canada!

Good Morning to you all!

Our family adopted a 3 year old Brindle Boxer just over a week ago!

Achilles is a wonderful addition to our family - he is 80 pounds of pure love.

During his first visit with our vet a lump was discovered on his hind leg. The test results found that it was a Mast Cell Tumor and it was removed this past Monday.
He is recovering well, but I must say this has been quite an emotional time for us all. We are hoping that the pathology report will show he is free and clear of cancer.

I am grateful that a found this forum. Boxers are quite unique and it is nice to have a place to share our stories and network with like minds.

I am so sorry you and your family are going through this but on the other hand am happy that Achilles has gone to such a wonderful home

Goudasmom (Sue) will answer this I am sure. She has vast knowledge of MCT and will gladly share how she took a natural approach to boosting the immune system and what herbs help fight cancer etc.

He has a face everyone falls in love with!

We adopted Achilles from a fellow who very much loved him, however he was no longer able to care for him. We had planned on getting a boxer puppy in the Spring, but the opportunity to adopt Achilles arrived and we jumped at it!

Kari, we do live pretty close to one another!
