Your dogs isn't pure black. Look at him in the sun (shows up in the first photo, too). You can see hints of fawn, just very subtle. Yes, he's a reverse sealed brindle - beautiful!

Reverse seal brindle is infact a pure boxer. If you look at Torch when the sun is hitting him at the right angle you will see the fawn/brownish color. We see that with Murphy all the time.
