New Boxer Mommy
Hi, glad that I found this site. I'm a first time boxer owner--in fact, this is my first dog ever but my husband had dogs while growing up. Our boxer is now 17 weeks old. We took her home from the breeder when she was 9 weeks old. She is a purebred 100% Euro brindle, and is a real sweetheart.
We also have a 2 year old female cat. She is easy-going, and the puppy & cat get along with one another. With just a couple of swats, our cat made it clear to the puppy that this is 'her' house. With that settled, now they play and spend a lot of time looking out the picture window together. We're dealing with the 'puppy crazy' behavior, of course, and teaching basic commands. She just finished up puppy kindergarten and the trainer commented that in the 7 weeks she came a long way. Now it's onto basic obedience class. Looking forward to reading & learning more about being a boxer owner. |
