Hi all,
Just want to say hi to all members. My partner and I live in Melbourne, Australia. We are the very proud owners of a 6 month old red and white male boxer named Leo (the lion). Last year we lost our 2 precious babies within a month of each other. Lincoln was a cavalier King Charles and was aged 13. Sasha was our gorgeous boxer girl who was 11. It absolutely killed us as we see our dogs as our children (and they were treated as such). We couldn't take having no dog footsteps/smells/sounds/unconditional love so we found our boy Leo through a breeder. We now have the most beautiful boy. But..... We had an issue on Saturday night that saw us in the vet emergency room. I dropped Leo off at a friends house to have a play date with their 4 year old (neutered) boxer girl. They have spent a lot of time together since we got him. Well we got a phone call to say something wasn't exactly right with Leo. So we rushed over to get him and found that Leo must have gotten a little over excited throughout the day and his penis was stuck out and would not go back in. I phoned the vet and got some advice and the next thing you know 4 of us are trying to manoeuvre my baby's penis back in with the help of cold water and lubricant. It didn't work so rushed him straight to the vet. They gave him a strong painkiller and managed to get it back in. Sorry if this is too long winded, I jus wanted to know if anyone may have had the same issue?? Thanks!!

I've had two fully grown males. We have had times where it came out for no reason but it always went right back Ito place. I'm interested to know why this happened. Good luck and glad this was taken care of.

Hi all,
He's doing well. Thanks for asking. We spoke to our own vet who we have been with for years. She said this can happen, especially in dogs of his age. All the testosterone! We have to keep a close eye on him just in case it happens again (with the lubricant and sugar handy) or we have to think about getting him dissexed. We really don't want to send him in for that while he is still so young and not matured. But, if it happens again we will definitely have to consider it. The poor little guy.
