Hi All! First, I really need to say Thank You. In being a new boxer mom, I have relied on the feedback from this forum to provide our babies with the best care possible. You have all played a great part in making our babies happy and healthy. So THANK YOU!
With that you've likely figured out that I have been poking around this great forum for a while, so please allow me to finally introduce our family. I am Heather, proud mom to 3 unfurry kids and 2 beautiful boxer babies. Tucker came into our family in October. We had just lost our old gal, Sadie, a lab, at age 14. She was the color of the sunrise and passed away in my arms after a long and happy life. I had intended on taking some time before adding a dog back into our lives, but fate had other plans. We had always wanted a boxer. My husband has been in love with the breed since he was a child. I had always had pound puppy mutts and was quite content with mixed breeds. The silence after losing Sadie was excruciating. No click of her feet on the floor and her dog dish gaining dust in the basement. That was until a friend called. She had bred boxers for some time and a boy she had bred was coming back thanks to the smart move of a first right of refusal in the contract. Did we want him? My husband, seeing my grief, jumped at the opportunity. And Tucker arrived full of love and devotion to me. He rarely leaves my side and I am convinced is my canine soulmate. He gives the best hugs and makes me laugh constantly with his goofy antics. Last weekend, we were given another lovely opportunity. A litter born to two boxers just after Thanksgiving all needed homes. And Lucy came to us, thin and needing some TLC. In the last week, she has put on a little weight, slowly but surely we work to put more on her. She has also livened up quite a bit in the last few days, playing with Tucker and really starting to show that silly boxer personality. She is also starting to get the hang of potty training. Thankfully!! We are very blessed with these two furbabies to love and care for. Ok, I am finally done rambling, time to show off our little pack. Sent from Petguide.com Free App
