I am new to the world of Boxers. My family has raised dogs since I was very young. I decided to branch out because my husband loves Boxers. I fell in love with my 2 when they were 5 weeks old. We visited them on a weekly basis until we brought them home at 9 weeks.

Our male, Lennox was diagnosed yesterday with a level 3 heart murmur. Of course, it's to early to tell anything definitive so we will continue to monitor him.

I also have 3 kids, 9,9,and 3, 2 cats, and a 10 year old Silky Terrier rescue. Needless to say, I am busy.

Thank you. No the girls are not twins, they are actually step-sisters. Everyone thinks they are twins tho. They are 8 months apart and just so happen to both be 9 right now.

has the vet advised what the course of action will be on Lennox's heart murmur?

Welcome!

Is your family still breeding these Boxers. Are they health testing them before breeding? I would really encourage them to stop breeding before they create more unhealthy puppies which could have more heart issues and other issues

The girls have been together since they were 3 and they truly are best friends.

The vet and her partner said that it was significant and they did not think it is what they called a puppy murmur. We contacted the breeder who are actually friends of ours and they said this is their first heart murmur. They only do about 3 litters of boxers per year. The litter was checked out by the local vet and he didn't catch it. We drive over an our to our vet because they are awesome! So right now our plan is to have him checked again next week and then at 4 months and go from there.

The breeder offered to buy him back/trade for later puppy but he already has my heart. They wrote me a check and apologized for not having caught it. I just plan on loving him for the rest of my life, no matter how long his is.

Laila is fit as a fiddle.

We don't breed boxers and I didn't buy these to breed.

sure sounds like things are under control and so glad the breeder did what was right by you. Yes our hearts do get taken over by these furbabies; looking forward to pics
