Yes, start by getting in contact with your kennel club. Go to shows. Introduce yourself to people. Make friends and look for mentors who can offer you learning opportunities. Not every breeder and handler will be receptive, but many are. Boxers are handled mainly by professional handlers. I'd suggest making contact with the actual breeders of the dogs which are usually found ringside watching or in the grooming area. I only say that because the handlers usually have many dogs to juggle in a short period of time. IMO the best time to chat is early (before ring time if they are not crunching) wish them luck, ask questions, let them know what you are looking for. Then go back and chat again after the show.
