Thankfully, Dutch is an extremely healthy boy and we haven't had any problems so far. He is now 15 months old and the only thing he has experienced was low blood sugar from rigorous play when we 1st had him. I'm no geneticist but if I can base Dutchs' future health from her prior litters, none of her lines has ever produced an unhealthy pup. Knowing what I have learned here from becoming a 1st time boxer owner, I would defiantly require those tests unless I purchased from Dutchs' breeder again. Dutch was male pick of the litter and she only charged us $350. I would have paid $2000! Good luck in your quest for a new addition! ~Misty~

The same thing here, Serena's breeder didn't do all of the testing either and I didn't investigate enough to really know what to look for and questions to ask of breeders. Luckily Serena is healthy. Her breeder does keep in touch periodically too. But now that I know what to look for and ask in a breeder I want to do it the right way.
