I grew up in Stroudsburg. My dad.and grandmother are still up there. You couldn't pay me to move back. When I was growing up it was a small town and had that feel to it. That's long gone and I hate being there anymore. I have also lived in South Florida for 4 years and was stationed near Savannah, GA for 4 years. I would move back to GA in a flash. I love NC. We are 3 hours from the beach and 3 hours from the mountains.

That's a sweet piece of property though. Hopefully it works out for you and your mom.

Thanks. I hope it goes well.

Jeff all of the relatives that matter to me are in the same area. The water gap has enough of a small town feel for me to like. Anythings better than Long Island. For me beaches mean nothing I dont go to them so it just doesn't pay to stay. Too damn expensive here.

That's why I would like this property, I don't need anyone/anything that I couldn't find there and would have my family all within 20 minutes so well see.

I know how you feel! We also weren't planning on moving so soon. I thought it would happen in the next 3 years. Well, after talking to our banker, things moved along a whole lot fast than expected and we'll be moving at the end of August!

I hope it all works out for you too

Thanks again everyone. I dont think the offer we gave is going to be accepted by the owner. He's much older and the real estate agent says they think he just wants out of it all the way. There's still some hope until the absolute no comes from him but I don't have much confidence that hell accept the offer. Will see.

Either way in the end we'll find something we really like, may just not be this property.

Well, if it doesn't happen then it wasn't meant to be.

Exactly. No big deal if it doesn't happen. Like I said, if this one doesnt work out we'll find something we both love.
