Exclamation Digging!!!

I need help. I'm sure there a many threads related to this but I couldn't find any. How to do I stop these two monsters from digging up my whole yard. I read some things online like.
1. Bury Chicken wire in spots they like to dig
2. Feed them pineapples then bury their poop in spots they like to dig
3. Bury a Balloon.

I do try to be out there to watch them so I can tell them to stop but they seem to know when I am watching so they dig when I am not looking.

They are bored.
They need more walks and short training sessions to wear them out.
Or you just need to stay out there and supervise at all times.
Burying things might keep them from that spot, but then they'll just dig somewhere else.

Yeah, they do need more walks. Over the summer I got them out twice a day, but now that school is back in they are down to one.

Porter was a digger!!! I filled a can with change and when he started to dig, shook it and said no. He really doesn't dig anymore. Hope that helps.

My two have also been known to dig. I actually just filled in a gigantic hole. Anyways, as the others said, they probably need to have their energy burned down, and their focus redirected - maybe try more "mental" stimulation exercises and obedience training sessions with them (I try to practice for 5 minute spurts just to get them refocussed and thinking).

Ours get plenty of exercise and still dig little holes all over the backyard because they are after the sakata bugs. The sakatas are starting to die off and land in the grass and flutter around until the dogs notice them and go after them.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am going to try a few of them, my yard looks like an engineering brigade came through looking for landmines.
