ok i read through now and ya ya wtf ever !

on the FLIP side of the deafness.. a whitey that meets standard in every other way would do incredible in the ring !!

why? b/c they have NO noise distraction ! and if trained right they watch and FEEL their owners EVERY move..

Isis is amazing at anything and everything i ask of her...EVEN IN a crowd...people or animals doesnt matter shes focused on ME and HAPPY to do whatever i ask...

flip side

i am REAL sensitive about her..purley b/c of people that JUDGE a deaf dog without knowing one...without owning one !

Isis was abused and neglected for the first 4 yrs of her life...imagine if she hadnt been...shed be remarkable at anything you wanted her to do..

im done ...

and just for GP

the amount of whiteys just on this forum alone...they hearing outweigh the deafies by 90%

one more little diddy...

i am far from a sh!t talker..there are a FEW members that have physically MET Isis...plenty of times .. how well behaved she is and how well she "listens" is remarkable not only b/c of the deafness but b/c of her past of a less than human person that considered whites as less than perfect and deserved to be treated like trash !

Great! The ABC/ABCF will be offering blood draws/cheek swabs at the National Specialty again this year, for use in genetic research. (This is for the CHIC storage, which is available to all researchers, not just the Broad Institute. http://www.caninehealthinfo.org/dnabank.html)
That is wonderful, I will definitely have Kiah donate when we are there in May.

I do think there's a $20 fee (that's the CHIC storage fee), and they need to be permanently IDed (microchip, tattoo, possibly DNA profiled) - there will be microchipping available, too, I'm sure for a small fee.

Kiah is a adopted through a rescue so she was microchiped and I paid for permanent registration. I don't mind paying a fee so we should be good to go. She only has a PAL # so I hope that is OK.

this is one hot topic i've been sitting back and watching...ky uy summed it up for me pretty well..IMO..no dogs ''hearing'' problem should eliminate them from a ring or anything else other dogs are welcome just because of their color or handicap..a dog who suffers in one area excels in others and i've seen it first hand..would we love to find a way to cut out some health problems from breeding absolutely! but i'm not discriminating against an animal with the same potential as another..i dont think anyone else has that right either, whiteys are a part of life, my life and SEVERAL others here, its not like their the only breed or color of boxer with health problems..mine wasnt BORN deaf, he was BEAT into submission which caused his..i wouldnt trade him for the world and it aggrivates me someone thinks he's should have less of a place in this world because of his color..
no i'm not a breeder and never will be...sorry if this doesnt fit the thread

Good for you. The more DNA collected, the more work can be done for the boxers we so truly love.

I am so glad that Isis has someone as special as you to take care of her and love her like you do.

there are no words appropriate to describe how bad off she was when we rescued her...

kennel cough, pnemonia, skin & ear infections, fleas, ticks, unfixed, emaciated to 17 pounds @ 4 yrs old ! never touched grass, been in a house, you name it..

just in weight comparison she is about 84 lbs now...imagine her @ 17.. disgusting !
then

now

it took ALOT to get her to where she is...like i said ..how intelligent she is...imagine if she started training as a pup...

she has NO personality flaws at all !!! except if a male tries to mount her... then she gets ahhhh MAD MAD lol

her newest trick is put 6 cups upside down on the floor..and put a treat under one...mix the cups up...lol she finds it everytime...

or KNOWING when the school bus is coming EVERY day !...without seeing or hearing it...

waking me up in the middle of the night if my son gets up....

after my sons surgery...she refused to leave his side ! laying ON him...or close by ...havng to be forced to go outside or to even eat...

shes AMAZING !

** side note..whites of other breeds are not considered anything less ... pittys, american bullys, english bullys, on and on..

american bully show..close friends champs

Hope Kennels Makua Ali'..prized for over all, and also for his markings...being even blue & white

Makua's Son Gotti...winning best in show and markings as well

** Gotti has 2 brothers..one all white and one 3/4 both with blue eyes..that are service dogs
Makua's son "Chopper"..Makua Ali's Black Eyed Peas...OUR PUP..show quality..went to other island for training and hit by a car..long story ... the white was a GOOD quality

Chopper in the middle of his litter..at 4 months old

this litter went on to do great things...with 5 total in the ring and 2 service dogs..
& this is only ONE other breed ....& yes there is that SAME trait of possible deafness..but these pups arent culled

AMERICAN BULL DOG (another friends kennel)
CHAMPION... Sunstars Maxiumus
Best-In-Show Champion American Bulldogs from Performance/Old Southern White lines; obedience, conformation, agility, great family pets and guardians; OFA/PennHIP, CERF, Temperament Certified; UKC, ABA, NKC, ARBA; puppies fully guaranteed; an American Bulldog Assoc. registered kennel

ENGLISH BULL DOG
CHAMPION..."BOSS"
BOSS is from some of the BEST English Champion bloodlines in the world! And does not have any inbreeding in his pedigree (family tree). He is from an English Champion and International Champion filled pedigree (family tree). Champs Boss' sire is an International Champion in five countries. His Grandmother is an International Champion in 6 countries. His Grandfather is a fabulous English Champion.
AKC, AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB
FEDERATION CYNOLOGIQUE INTERNATIONAL (The World Canine Organisation)
FCPR, FEDERATION CANOFILA DE PUERTO RICO
UKC, UNITIED KENNEL CLUB
GENETIC TEST:
OFA CERTIFICATION
DNA PROFILE

so uhmmm WHY is it JUST the white boxer thats SO bad ? the white gene is in MANY breeds...and that same gene can bring deafness but these other breeeds have no issue with producing champions given the CHANCE !
