Default Breeder In MD area?

Hi everyone -

I posted before that we were talking with a breeder about getting a new boxer puppy. Unfortunately, I realized that the breeder was not exactly reputable when she could not provide registration papers for her dogs. I don't necessarily need a registered puppy, as I don't plan to show or breed the dog, but upon seeing the mother of the pups I had suspicions that she was not 100% boxer.

So, does anyone have a recommendation for a good breeder in the Maryland area? Like I said, I don't need a champion bloodline boxer, I just want a nice purebred pup to add to our family. I've looked at numerous breeders online, but I'd rather get personal opinions.

Thanks!

I'd like to hear answers to this as well!
We got Uhtred from a breeder in Md but I wouldn't use her again. He is a wonderful dog, but after we got him (he immediately got sick) I found out from the vet that he was already immune to 3 different kinds of antibiotics. Then I did more digging and found out there are complaints against her. But I'd like to know for future reference. One I've seen but didn't end up looking into was Twinbrook Boxers. They have a Facebook page...

Would you mind telling me the name of the breeder you got Uhtred from? This is exactly why I asked for personal reference. I'm afraid that some breeders may look really nice and reputable on their website just to get customers and I really don't want to end up in a situation like yours.

I have also seen Twinbrook boxers...they're actually just a few miles away from me. The breeder seemed nice and was quick at responding to my email, but we're hoping to get a brindle girl this time and she didn't have any with her recent litter.

She's smart... she changes her business name to avoid people finding bad reviews on her. She's had various names for her "business" (as I later found out). All I can say for sure is that she's located in Conowingo MD, and her name is Stephanie. Conowingo isn't very big, so not buy-ing puppies there is a safe bet.

Stupid of me to be taken in, right? I know! I'd do it very differently next time. We did get a wonderful dog out of it, though.
