Exclamation HavenWoods Breeder?

Has anyone ever heard of HavenWoods Breeder? My husband and I recently had to put down our 1 year old boxer because of kidney failure. We are completely heartbroken. Although we both agreed that we would love another puppy we are scared because we wouldn't be able to handle heartbreak again. We live in New York but will travel anywhere in order to get from a reputable breeder. Can you guys please help me out. Thank you so much.

Just looked at their website, looks to me like someone i'd reach out to myself if i was looking for a breeder, i see they have health tested parents, and their boxers are stunning..

I agree! Lots of euro faces in there and they give you a lot of the important health information on their dogs! If you're close enough, ask for a meeting. Always best to meet breeder and dogs before you make your decision! Good luck! (and prepare yourself for a wait! It's worth it when you find the right breeder, believe me!!)

Looks pretty good to me, I would not hesitate from contacting them. Of course websites always looks good, but this one seems quite legit. I would talk with them.

By the way, a pup can be brought into the US from Canada at 8 weeks with the correct, not hard to get, paperwork

I wouldn't say it's not hard to get. You need to get approval from the CDC and apply for a confinement agreement since the US has now made it mandatory that no dog can enter the country prior to 4 months of age and they must have a valid rabies vaccine.

Being that most vets will not vaccinate rabies prior to 5 months of age and then you must wait 30 days after to vaccine to import, you are looking at 6 months old.

A confinement agree allows you to bring a puppy over on the pretence that you keep it confined to your property and not allow it to interact with other animals until it has been properly vaccinated.

I went through all this, not hard just time consuming. One poster said you had to wait 4 months and that is simply not true

The US law states no puppy can be imported prior to 4 months of age and they must have a valid rabies however there is a loop hole which is the confinement agreement

It's not as simple as it was 3 years ago but yes, if you have the appropriate paper work it is doable.
