Have you considered a rescue? I understand you want a new baby now so that would be my first choice. If you need a puppy now then you are most likely going end up with a BYB or puppy mill dog. There is a link here on breeders....check it out.

I am open to adopting or finding a puppy. However, the Boxer Rescue group in CO has very strict guidelines that I currently do not meet. So that has made that route a little more difficult. And I am having a hard time finding resources to respected breeders in CO. I have no interest in going to a big kennell. Thanks for your help!

My breeder is having puppys any day now..I am up in south dakota..so it could be a 5 hour drive. But he is one of the most reputable in south dakota and I could get you a good deal since he is our good friend as well haha.

Thanks! yeah and I shouldnt say I need one right now, but I do want to start looking right now. I do not meet HOBO requirements which is kind of a bummer. I do not have a fence and I live in Winter Park CO which I think is out of their adoption territory. I would love some more info on the South Dakota breeder. Thanks for all the help you guys!

I would get in contact with the Boxer club in Co first, that's always a good starting point..Off hand I don't know of any breeders in your area, how far are you willing to travel? Right now with it being summer, flying dogs is really restricted, most transport is done by car, but I believe Continental does do cargo..Also while you are looking, please read the topics here about finding a good breeder, what to ask, what to look for..There is a lot of very good information and of course you can always ask..A word of advice, you get what you pay for, a QUALITY pup that comes from health tested parents, and I do not mean has been to the vet, will cost you a bit more, BUT in the long run, you have a better chance of having a happy and helathy and long lived dog that way...

i would do exactly what Willow (samsonsmom) says...talk to your local boxer club to find good breeder(s). It may take a while but its more than worth it in the end. And of course, read most of the stickied topics in the training section and puppies eggheads and furbabies. Theres TONS of info on this site which has helped me out a lot in raising my rescued pup and finding a good breeder to go to.
