Duke has been obsessing over the mango on the counter ever since I made the mistake of letting him sniff it. Wondering if there are any known side effects of boxers eating a couple pieces of mango?

Mangoes*are a delicious tropical fruit.*Dogs can*safely enjoy the skin of this fruit. Your*dog could*choke on a*mango*seed, so you should always peel the fruit before giving it to your*dog. Apricots*can*also safely be eaten by*dogs. Sent from my H8216 using Tapatalk |

I'm not an expert, I just googled this. Based on what I read, the skin of it is OK for some dogs and hard to digest for others. It says to peel before giving them some. Never ever give them the seed as it has cyanide and is also a choking hazard (I doubt you were going to do this, but it was noted). You may want to google it too to see if there's anything else you may want to know. I know you can give them small amounts of cantaloupe, watermelon, pineapple, blueberries and various vegetables. They can not have grapes- they are toxic. It is mostly because of finding out about grapes and onions that I check on any new fruit or vegetable before allowing them to have them. I hope this helps. |

Unless they have allergies or digestive issues, I think it's good to let them try some new things and to share....ours are considered our furkids so to some they would seem spoiled. I'm glad you found a new treat to share with him! |
