Default Update on mason

Mason had his repeat blood work yesterday. His bilirubin level was .9 now it's .10.... The vet thinks we caught it so early that he was on the mend but it has to raise up before it levels out. She did check with another vet on this...she also gave him a steriod shot 2 weeks ago so that may also be part of the problem... She thinks because of his allergies he is just a sensitive dog, they believe this may be because of pancreatitis too... He also didn't take his meds the best because of lack of appetite ... He has since regain his appetite and he is acting much better, no other levels are out of wack, including all his other levels in his liver, just bilirubin .....I am freaking out because I got these results as I was driving to camp... Mason is home and I am camping....... But he has a great sitter and my older kids came home in middle of night so he left the sitters bed for my son Tony's bed.lololol. Tony is staying with his tonight but sitter will be with him by day....wish he could have come camping but no dogs allowed in the rentals... Plus it's the adirondack car nationals, would terrify him but we are loving it, we even brought our 1967 chevelle up.... The cars are awesome and loud!
But really miss mason! They will be doing blood work again in 2 weeks, if level hasn't drop additional test will be ordered...so should I be freaking out!

No, don't freak out! So many things can throw bloodwork out of balance. Let him continue to eat and then repeat the bilirubin. He probably will be at a normal level. You are lucky to have great sitters. Relax and enjoy your trip!

This may help explain bilirubin:
