My boy is 5 years old now, and I have noticed that he is starting to get grey around his muzzle and flues (sp).
he is a black masked fawn with very little white. At what age does this graying normally start? is 5 to young?

I don't think this would be much help...
But humans can go Gray in their 20's. My bro in law had a few Gray's when he was 18. My other bro in law, unrelated, is 32 and he is about 50% Gray. My dad in his 60's has maybe three Gray's. I would assume with the hair makeup and follicular genetics this could be the same in animals too. Hairs grow through the same process in most animals as in humans. Sent from Petguide.com Free App |

Ty was around five and a half when he started getting gray in his black mask near his jowls. Now at over six his ears are getting silver hairs and he has one or two in his eyebrows. I love it. He looks so distinguished lol
