Anyone here have any luck/experience giving kefir to your pup?
I've been reading a lot on probiotics and all the benefits as my Bella seems to have a rather finicky stomach. Came across stone stuff about kefir which I've honestly never even heard of before, but seems to have a lot of benefits.
I would love any feedback or suggestions from any of you with experience using this as a supplement!
Kai always had the most stinky gas, after reading on here about probiotics I tries giving him one I just bought at petsmart to see if it made a difference. It has..He doesn't have nearly as much gas as before. I plan to keep him on it.
Not kefir, but Uhtred gets plain yogurt mixed with peanut butter and frozen in a kong when he goes in his crate. He loves his "ice cream"!
My SIL is a vet-tech and says yogurt-type probiotics are very good for them.
I have used kefir by making my own. The dogs loved it but Loki didnt do well on it, I am guessing lactose intolerance. I also found by making it myself I had a lot left over so I stopped making it. But it has many more beneficial strains of bacteria than yogurt
I bought organic kefir starter grains on amazon. Its really easy to do you just have to have milk. Google making kefir and you will see its really easy
