I freaked out with Logan too thinking he was too skinny. I could see his hip bones and some ribs, but everyone reassured me that he wasn't too skinny. Duke, who is a handsome boy by the way, looks heavier than Logan did when I worried. I think he looks great.

Thanks Mandy. I guess it's more the fact that when we got him, he was skin and bones and not healthy looking at all. We got his weight up and he was looking great and now all of a sudden (well seems that way! lol) I'm seeing his ribs again when he's standing and even the bumps from his vertebrae on his back seem to be more noticeable again. That's why I was thinking maybe we're not feeding him enough? But by the sounds of it, he's probably just having a growth spurt. I just hope he doesn't get too much taller because he's already 26" at the withers! I think that's tall *enough* lol

I think he looks good too. I had a guy at my neighbors the other night tell me that I am not feeding my girls enough cause they are to skinny. My girls are both good weights & look healthy.

Great advice so far. All dogs are different, so go with whats best for him.

If he's very active and you exercise him a lot, you may need to feed a little more.

I think he looks in lovely condition. Sam my 1yr old is going through a skinny, lanky phase at the moment. It looks like I don't feed him half the time.

Thank you. I was just a bit concerned because he's so ribby and long... he looks rather out of proportion at the moment. lol Guess it's just an awkward growing phase!

he looks good, he will fill out soon.

was just looking back at pics the other day when rusty was a pup and through the 2 plus years weve had him and its so funny to see how small he was, i look at him now compared to that and he may only be 66lbs but he filled out, and less ribby.

He is just growing up faster than his out. He will fill out more later on. He looks to be in good health to me.

I think he looks perfect. My 8mos old weighs 57lbs and is also on BB grain free puppy. Feed him 2 cups in morn and 2 at night as well
