Default Lily got her wings

Our sweet girl Lily got her wings on October 14, 2019.

10 wonderful years with this real special boxer, she was everything to us. My walking partner, craft room buddy, bathroom attendant, etc.

She came into our lives 3 months after our first boxer Ginger passed.

She was a handful as any puppy is, but when she reached 2, she was the most behaved dog ever, never destroyed a thing, listened to us. Just an angel.

July this year we were told she had a large mass on her liver and it was not operable. Most likely cancer. She was losing so much weight in the past few months, then just stopped eating, even after I was cooking her whatever she wanted. You can tell she was in pain and we didn't want her to suffer. Devastating for us to see her in this condition.

Its been two weeks and it still is hard.... This time was more difficult than losing our first one, not sure why, but Lily was our heart dog.

She is now looking over us now....Running at the Bridge with Ginger.

I am so sorry for your loss. Lilly is free to fly...Your a good mama who obviously loved her very much. It is so hard on us when we lose one of our pets as they are family members. Our boxer turned 5 in Sept. time goes by so quickly.

So sorry for your loss and glad she's not suffering anymore. The time we have with them goes way too fast.

Oh, needless to say we all understand how you feel and all of us are sorry for you loss.
And I tend to think, that the first to weeks are the hardest?? I remember when I loss my Struddell to DM, Hmm at ten years also as it happens, in Nov of 2013.

It had been about two weeks and I had a really busy day at work and had forgotten about everything?? And was just glad to be home. I go to turn the door knob to go inside and I just freeze! Suddenly the loss comes crashing back and I realize she is no longer behind the door to greet me! I just broke down and cried my heart out.

Sigh ... I had to regroup and go in cuz I still had Rocky (WL GSD) and he still needed me cuz you know ... Life goes on.

But it does get better with times and one day the sadness, will be replaced with the fond memories of the good times you had together with her. These days, I tend to talk about my adventures with Struddell, all the time.

But and maybe it will help you?? This is what my Struddell said to me when she had to leave me on my journey thru life. :

And again sorry for your loss.

Again so sorry you lost your girl. Loss is never easy to deal with I know when I lost my dogs I kept thinking I could hear them walking in the living room or I expected to see them in the yard and the normal things. I do believe dogs have souls and God put them here to be our helpers to deal with the ups and downs in life. They are the most caring and loving creatures God made I know they will be there for us when we too cross over. I am so sorry.

I am sorry for your loss of Lily. I know it is painful for you now but it does get better over time. Just remember all the good times you had together and what a wonderful home and life you gave her.
