Default Peanut Butter and Banana Ice Cubes

If your boxer is anything like Roxie, they come in from playing outside in the heat, panting, but won't drink much water. Who knows why.... anyway, I've found Roxie LOOVEES ice cubes.

So for a special treat, like when she potties outside, I give her peanut butter banana ice cubes. Great treat for cooling her down!

Just take about 1/2 a banana, a big spoonful of peanut butter (maybe 1/2 cup?) , and add about 1/4 cup water (to help with freezing). The measurements aren't important really. Mash up the banana, mix it in with the peanut butter, pour into ice tray and freeze.

Super easy and your boxer will love them!

That's a great idea!! I do something similar (from which i found on this website). My puppy LOVES the pet ice cream (frosty paws)... but, if you've ever bought them they are a little pricey ($4 and change for 4)... But, i throw a banana, peanut butter and vanilla yogurt into a blender (same as you, no real measurement) and i pour it into small bathroom dixie cups (plastic ones)... it makes about 6-7 small cups...

another thing my puppy loves is flavored ice cubes (so i will also try your "recipe"). KONG sells ice cube trays (shaped like kongs) and they also sell flavor packs... i make a tray them put them in a sandwich bag and take out as needed...

all this FUN stuff for the doggies... (they are all so spoiled!! with LOVE and with TREATS)...

thanks for the info!!

My girls LOVE chocolate Hagen Daz. j/k. I'm going to buy the stuff for a very similar yogurt treat that I found on another search

The one I'm trying is:

32oz. Low fat vanilla yogurt
1 banana mashed up
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1 tbsp. honey.
