pumpkin pb biscuits

Pumpkin Peanut Butter Biscuits•

2 1/2 cups whole wheat or barley flour
•2 eggs
•1 cup canned pumpkin
•3 tablespoons peanut butter
•1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2.Stir dry ingredients in medium bowl. In separate bowl, whisk together eggs, pumpkin, and peanut butter. Add egg mixture to flour mixture and knead thoroughly. Dough should be dry and stiff; add small amounts of water as needed to make it workable. (If dough is too sticky, add small amounts of flour.) Roll dough into half-inch thickness and cut into half-inch pieces, using knife or cookie cutters
3.Bake about 40 minutes, or until hard and dry

I know this post is old but i just made these treats today. Followed the exact recipie. They came out wonderful. Our pup loves them. I froze half of the dough since it's just for one 9 week old pup. Thanks for the recipe . Does anyone know the shelf life of homemade dog treats?

I would assume it's the same for human cookies, maybe a week in the fridge or a few days outside the fridge?

Oh I was hoping they would last longer since there's no moisture. OK well. well . he's going to have a nice treat this week. Oh and I forgot to post a pic...

Cute!! They look delicious :)

Food still gets mould, I was just thinking of fresh baked cookies I get at the store and they only last a week before going stale tasting and get mould...

Maybe they would last longer! But I would not feed a dog mould, but then again I throw out milk on its expiry even though I know it's good for a week after!
