Default Homemade Treats for The Doggies

About a month ago I started cooking for the doggies as I did in the past. The pups are loving it and I have to say they are eating better than I am, but I enjoy doing it for them.

Raw isn't an option for me and/or I won't serve raw because of a rare recurrent infection I acquired during surgery. The infection has actually been worse than the cancer, so I'm not going to take the chance.

I purchased carob powder and carob chips to make doggie cookies. I had a few recipes but wanted more. I found a wonderful website and wanted to pass it along.

Hope your doggies enjoy!

I have been meaning to ask, what is carob powder/chips and where do you get it?

Carob powder and chips (look like chocolate chips) come from the seeds of the carob tree. Carob is used as a chocolate substitute. The powder has no fat and cholesterol and is much lower in calories. You would use the powder like coco powder. Needless to say it taste chocolate. I like the Bob's Red Mill products. If I can't find them locally (usually in health food stores) I order from Amazon.

if you haven't looked there are tons of recipes in recipes for the boxer belly on here too you might have to change the setting for that fourm to "the beginning" in display options at the bottom of the food tips and diet info page before you click the recipes tab to view them all

I do like that web site you attached also
