Hi!
New to the forum, but have been here a few times checking on issues and topics of interest, but this is my 1st post (YAY!). Sadly, though it's because my 4 yr old female Zoe is experiencing some stressing issues. First and foremost, she has a couple "lumps" on the underside of her bobbed tail. They're kinda dark and she is CONSTANTLY licking at them.....any ideas on what they might be? She seems to like it when I gently scratch around the area or at the base of her tail (which makes her salivate and lick her lips a lot). Secondly, she's doing a LOT (just last night and today) of HACKING....like she's got a hairball, she gets to the point where she gags and looks to vomit, but nothing is coming up. She is a bit lethargic today, not her usual jovial self.
Other than that, she seems her normal self, appetite is still good (so far) and she still seems playful when enticed with her toys.
Just to be on the safe side, I'm gonna schedule her a trip to see her vet on Monday, her last checkup was in the spring for her annual rabies shot.
ANY help/advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
