I use Nexguard for my dogs once a month I have noticed my dogs are itching sometimes in between treatments I have seen no fleas but sometimes my female will have redness inside her ears and on her belly. I have treated her for seasonal allergies with the Vet with Cytopoint Apaquel gave her bad diarrhea so that's a no go. I was wondering if the Nexguard could be causing some of this I have read some dogs were having reactions to the stuff was wondering if anyone else has seen anything similar. My male only itches a little and his ears are not red. I have always used the topical flea and tick until now so I am not sure whether I need to go back to that. I am a little leery of the ones that do heartworm and flea and tick. I use heartguard or Intercenpter plus for that. I live in a high tick zone area and we like to walk on the trails around here ticks have been really terrible this year I spray them Wondracide its made with cedar oil to repel flies and mosquitoes when we go out too but that's supposed to be all natural and non toxic. I keep them on heartworm stuff year round but usually stop the flea stuff when it gets cold.

We use Nexgard and Heartgard plus, year round. We have been using it for 7 years without any incident. I do notice my poodle doing some biting/itching, no fleas but its not a lot maybe just normal. (the other 3 dogs no reactions) Poodle ears like boxers you have to keep up with. I find using zymox with hydrocortizone keeps ears in good shape. I clean with it about 1x a month and sometimes in-between with just a ear rinse. Poodle ears gets really hairy and need to be plucked out a little.

Its good to know someone else is using the same stuff and not having a problem I get anxious whenever I notice something that shouldn't be happening. I clean their ears out usually with a wet washcloth when I clean the wrinkles around their faces. I wonder if the itching has to do with fleas actually biting them? It seems boxers are sensitive to a lot of things that don't bother other dogs. I had a miniature poodle when I was about 7 years old I remember the thing with pulling the hair out of the ears at the groomer! I am glad boxers are easy to groom! I just "detailed" my guys today! They sure smell better.

We gave Kai a bath yesterday, he was itching a lot and I know he is shedding right now. I was brushing him and he was loving it and I noticed dry flaky skin on oily skin. So when my daughter got home she gave him a good bath in chlorhexadine shampoo and we put him on a low dose of benedryl. Hoping that takes care of whatever is irritating him, his eyes have been a bit running too so I think it is seasonal or may be something I cleaned with. I haven't had any flea problems since the dogs have been on nexgard. While they stayed flea free on topical my long haired cats would end up with fleas and you know how difficult that can be. Seems my cats are sensitive to topical flea meds so I don't use anything not them, and they are strictly indoor. Keeping my fingers crossed the my luck of no fleas continue.

I also have a long haired cat he is a Himalayan he's about 12 now I had his sister too she passed away earlier this year from cancer. I have used topical on him because the cats were so hard to pill. They will only eat hard food too so no hiding things. I started the dogs on Nexguard because I didn't like the grease spot on the backs of their necks I used to put it on before we would go walking and it would kinda dry on there. Nexguard is so much better there is no mess and they have not gotten any ticks or fleas its just the itching. I know my female does have seasonal allergies there is something that gets her in the spring and fall her eyes get red and ears too and she will just chew her front legs and scratch at her face and ears. Apaquel is pretty expensive but it does work I have used it on other dogs it is not for puppies. But she started having diarrhea with the Apaquel so had to stop that I have used Cytopoint it is fairly expensive injection at the vets its about 150.00 but it can last as long as 3 months after the first injection so far I have only had to do my girl twice this year. I also found that good old Hartz dog shampoo honey and oatmeal works pretty well for helping the skin itching and its cheap smells ok too and its gentle I was pretty surprised but it made their coats really soft. I hope your dogs itching gets better!

We are thinking it is a hotspot on Kai now. So for now he is on benedryl and we are also spraying it with benedryl, he may be getting a 2nd spot . Made a vet appointment for this afternoon but if it starts looking better will order some shampoo and go from there. It doesn't look infected so hate to start with any antibiotics unless necessary. Don't really want a vet bill if we can avoid it just walking in there you will lose $250 or more, so it must be necessary.

I hear ya on the Vet bills I know my last dog cost me at least 10,000 in Vet bills we had to refinance our house! I am hoping these two I have now will be more "cost effective" and will have no major problems. I hope Kais spots are easy to diagnose and he gets better quickly. I don't think I have ever walked out with less than 100. bill that's for sure.

Ordering an essay is quite simple today with customwritings reviews. It is already few years that an essay writing service system is already in place. At first glance, you may guess that writing an essay is a rather easy thing that does not take much time. But in order to write a high-quality essay, you will need more than one hour, and maybe not even one day.

Hey Luvmiboxers, buddy I also have a male dog who is facing itching problems similar to your dog. Many of the times when he lives with my other 2 dogs at home, the others also start itching and that moment I need to give them medicines so that they don't face any further problems. I was thinking to keep duke in my essay writing service workstation to keep them away from itching troubles.

Oh heck ... just move to NV! Kinda expensive, I suppose but no flea's or ticks's as long as you stay away from the water ... and that's not a problem. :)

But we do have Rattle Snakes and Coyote's out and about ... although I have run into neither?? Although one night on a "Walk," Rocky ... heard or something in the darkness, on a midnight walk (off leash) that made him turn him around walk past me and head for home?? It was pitch black ... I watched him walk pass me and I was like "what the hell??" I looked and listened and saw and heard nothing ... but hey screw this ... I'll trust my dog! :)

But ... no flea's or tick's here in Dayton NV, so there is that. And we do get see to the wild horses walk about the neighborhood all the time, pretty cool! :)
