Baxter is getting neutered today!

Well I  took Baxter to get neutered this morning I will pick him up up about 5:00pm.  I sure hope the little guy is ok.
I came home today for lunch and man did the house seem empty. No little puppy going spastic on me wanting to play. I missed all that yaping, whining, and barking.
I sure hope they treat my little guy good.
I took him to the humane society and not the vet. The HS wanted 39 dollars to neuter him but my vet wanted $300.00. I figure the HS does this Monday through Thursday all day long and should in experience  wise have a lot more hours under there belt than the vet.
And if I'm wrong don't tell me lol.
Any way keep your fingers crossed. I'll report back in tonight on how he's doing..........Thanks!!!!!! THE BB!

Berkley has got her paws crossed for you guys!
hope everything goes well with baxter! keep us posted!
Wow...$300 for a neuter sounds pretty steep! We will keep Baxter in our thoughts today. I'm sure he will be just fine!  :)
i am sure he will do just fine and will be as anxious to be home as you are to have him home.
The SPCA did both Sampson and Lucy and they are just fine! Baxter will be fine.
He will do great!!  Of course I was the one that cried the day I drop Maggie off the morning of her spay.
Myself Donner and Blitzen are sending all kinds of wiggles and good vibes your way. I know what you're saying  about it being quiet and worried. I was like an old mother hen when Donner got neutered. Everything will be fine.

I'm seriously considering the local humane society for Cooper, too.  Our vet wants around $350 for neutering.  I could probably talk them down, but the humane society charges between $60-70.  They have a center setup in the local Superpetz (could've picked a better store, IMO).  There's also a place that only does spaying and neutering and I think they're supposed to be fairly reasonable.
Good luck to the little guy!!! I am sure he will be fine and back to himself in no time :)
i dont think the HS does that over here but if they did i would have maverick done by them because i know their vet and she is really good...my vet wants about 400 for mavericks neuter....i dont think so. Im sure baxter will be fine..they have a vet at the hs doing those neuters i assume. let us know how he is once he gets home.
I hope Baxter is doing well ....LET US KNOW!

Sunny and Lette
Hope he has a speedy recovery, let us know how it goes.
Baxter will be fine, we are the ones that stress out   It does get lonely tho when they aren't there huh? Sending lots of healing vibes out to Baxter for a speedy recovery
Well Baxter is back. He's disorienated, wobbly and half out of it but I'm sure he will be back to his crazy spunky little puppy self in a few days.
I'll be keeping a close eye on him for the next few days.
Ummmmmmmmmm scratch that I'll be keeping a close eye on him for years to come, well he is a boxer ya know lol.
Thanks for the support everyone.

wow, he is pretty young to be getting neutered isn't he?  I didn't know vets will do it that young.  I'm glad he's doing well
Thanks for the update was logging on to check and see if there was an update.....glad he is home!!
He'll be back to his old self in no time!  The meds wear off pretty quickly and he'll be a wiggle butt again shortly.
