Well he had just started to ring the bell when I installed the dogie door the other week.
Since I installed the dogie door. NOT ONE accident NOT ONE ....WOOOOOHOOOOOO

This thing makes me feel soooooooooooooo much better about him too. He can go out when ever he wants and get exercise or get out of the rain or go sun himself out in the sun etc. I hated keeping him in his crate all day and the fact that he stays in the laundry room and now how has free run of the yard when ever he wants makes me feel so much better.
And no oopsies....... My carpet loves the doggie door.
Needless to say I HIGHLY recommend a dogie door!

Lol, I told you it was the best thing sliced bread  :) Sure makes life a lot easier doesn't it? Sounds like Baxter is adapting to it quite nicely

While I am so happy for you, I am a bit jealous that I can't have a doggie door until I own my own home. I rent and it sucks having to get my boots and coat on everytime I have to take her out. AND I live on the second floor. So needless to say I get alot of exercise (which isn't a bad thing) but it does get annoying when she rings her bell every half an hour even though I know she can hold it. :x

As always, Baxter is adorable!

So....How do you really feel about this doggie door? Don't hold back!

I'm happy to hear you have found a great solution that works for both you and Baxter. I also agree that your carpet will feel a whole lot better, and so will you by not having to clean it as much!
Great News! WTG Baxter!  :D

I hate to sound dumb, but what it means "rings the bell"?
Good for Baxter!I can't have a doggie door,I don't have fenced yard.
I hung a bell from the handle of my sliding glass door. (Bell training) I was teaching him to ring the bell when he needed to go potty!
But with his own personal door, no need now.
