Wow!  That is a big step!  How adorable.  I wish Maguiness and my cat would get along like that.  The cat won't put the dog in her place which I really think would help, but she won't do it.  To this day (3 1/2 yrs later) of them being together, Maguiness will still chase the cat.  I do find them sitting next to each other on the stairs once in a while if they think no one is watching.   I swear they are secret friends too!  Anyone have any suggestions of getting the 2 to be friends?

How sweet is that!  Looks like they really are buddies and are just keeping it hidden from you!

Our Calli grew up with our cats and she never chased them, they would come in and sleep near her or use her to message their paws on her side.  The other three have always wanted to chase the cats but Dippy our drugged cat thinks he is a dog and is always trying to be with the dogs, sleeps with them, etc.  The dogs do alot of growling when Dippy comes over and rubs on them!  :D

well, i wouldn't say they get along just yet!  that really is wishful thinking on my part; Sinjin still dislikes her--as the hissing tonight proved.  but, it was a big step and Sinjin has slowly started to get closer to maddy (more because of jealousy i think, but hey, i'll take what i can get).

if you will notice, my husband is holding a cereal bowl with milk leftovers so i think it was more the power of food that made sinjin react so surprisingly.

Will wonders never cease! Lol...Well, it's a first step anyways....Cats, especially as they get older are set in their ways....Oreo & Buck grew up together and when we adopted Tia the following year, Oreo ran off for a week to express his disproval at the new member of our family

That is such a sweet picture!
I wish our cats would just accept Beckham, it's been 6 months and they still hate him just as much if not more!  He will just walk by and the little female will come flying out of nowhere and attack, the big chubby male will just throw a fit.  Hissing, spitting and growling, which of course causes Beckham to start barking (very annoying).  I don't know how to help the 3 of them get along, I've tried treats, etc...but our cats won't get over it.  I'd love suggestions too.
