I know this is off-topic, but...
My first Master's degree is in Second Language Acquisition, so what you wrote caught my eye! If you want to be "bilingual", its really not that difficult, you just have to work at it.
Classes and personal tutoring are both good, as well as a program called "Rosetta Stone". It's a little expensive, but VERY effective.
It's really amazing how fast you learn another language if you practice it often... Especially if you find people online to chat with who speak English and your target language.

I plan on teaching my boxer commands in German (my primary second language).

I'm so envious of all of you being able to speak 2 or more languages, I'd love to be bilingual!
