So we keep having this recurring problem with our 1 year old Boxer.  She keeps somehow nicking the rim of her ear (not cropped) and when she shakes her head it looks like someone has been murdered (i.e. blood all over the place).  Does anyone else have this?  Does anyone have some advice on what to do?

Does the edge of the ear have crust on it or is it just from a cut?  The ears bleed alot even from a small cut....

no idea what she nicks it on.
it scabs over but when she shakes her head it comes undone and sprays blood everywhere.  Very annoying!

Maybe try using a liquid bandaid until it heels completely?

Paco's ear kept doing this a while back (no idea what he nicked it on either) and we used the liquid bandaid solution til it healed also. It worked like a charm, but we had to reapply it a couple of time before it healed completely. Good luck.
