I have a question .I bought my boxer from a breeder who breeds boxers and Boston Terriers. Now to me my 5 month old puppy’s jowls don’t look right. The back of her mouth her bottom lip sticks out and I find her jowls are short. Anyone here tell me what you think about her face? Pure or possibly mixed?thank you

I don’t see anything wrong with your dog, she’s very cute! I would think if she was a Boston mix the face would be shorter? Did you see both her parents did they have this type of face?
Yes I saw both their parents and the thing is the dogs on the left were boxers and the ones on the right were Boston Terriers and I kept telling my husband her fathers head is really small but he wanted her.
Although I agree she is very cute! Her nose is longer than her dads! I just want to be sure she isn’t selling pure Breds and their not ,I also like to be prepared for possible health issues.

Well first welcome aboard. And you can do the Embark thing if you chose, of course. But there is nothing about you girl that say's anything other than Boxer. Boston Terrier's are uniquely American. There is nothing about your girl that say's Boston Terrier??

You did not show the parent's? But I am pretty sure that her dad is a German Boxer and her Mom is an America Line Boxer?
She has a German Boxer Head and muzzle .. short stubby face but her body is slim and lean ... nowhere near the bulk and mass of a 100%, German Boxer. It's a thing.

And depending on where you leave ... you will tend to see or the other?? The American Line Boxer's tend to be Slimmer and leaner and have Deep Chest and Tiny waist, the German (and I say Euro Boxer's) tend to be huh bigger and Broader. And hugely don't have the tight tuck at the waist? But my friends German/American Boxer does? But he is a Male 85 lbs and he was a big dog?? My Struddel's dad was an all American Boxer however, and they said he was 95 Lbs?? He did not look to be a 95 pounder to me? Cause he was much taller than mum and was pretty lean but whatever.

At any rate your girl looks very much like a KACO Boxer, girl to me? And if you gonna get really deep into it ... "Miniature Boxer", (of which there is really no such thing.) But if you do enough back Breeding with Boxers and Boston Terriers for a few generations ... and you get a miniature Boxer! Not a "real breed," but people do stuff.

In anycase your girl is beatuiful and Welcome Aboard. :)

Thank you so much!! Yes her build says american(my first was American) but her head is what confused me! Yes she looks just like her dad! I don’t have parent photos but dad had small head and not very big mom was bigger with bigger head she was fawn and dad was the brindle or is it reverse brindle?🤔always get that get confused!😂German or European boxers are quite large big and big chested boxers everything on her is petite except her height she’s now 5 months and 32 pounds but she’s 18 inches tall
Most of all full of cuteness!!

LOL, well she is a "full Brindle!" Reverse Brindle, is the where the "Myth of Black Boxer's." comes from. The Gene for the color Black , does not exist in the Boxer Gene Pool. Reverse Brindle's are Brindle's but the Black is strips are more obvious. But in the right light, the brown strips will show thru.

We have a few "Reverse Brindle's," on here but they are fairly rare. But hey people do stuff. If one wanted to "create a rare," Black Boxer ... they could. A Black Lab and a Boxer, would produce a rather, odd looking Boxer or Lab I would imagine? But if you then take the pups and keep breeding them to Boxer's ... in a few "Generations," you'd have a "Black Boxer!"
Now those dog's could fool JQP, but they won't fool the AKC!

You could not show a "Black Boxer," in the AKC, because such a dog does not exist, same thing with the miniature Boxers?
According the rules Per the AKC ... such dog's do not exist as Boxer's! Embark ... would rat them out! But hey people do stuff? And one of the newest entries to the AKC, the "Dogo Argentino," has "Boxer," in there DNA!

It was a "choice," made by the creators of the "Breed, Decades Ago," they wanted a "Family Friendly Dog," so they added in Boxer's ... uh despite the "Boxer's Small Feet!" :)

Yeah that is a "thing." Find a "Safe Working Line GSD," (Good Luck with that ... ) and compare there feet? And you will say oh wow??? Inside info I suppose??

Anyway ...if you see other "Boxer's" around your area that are so much larger than your girl ... now you know why! :)

Aww well, she is beautiful looks just like my Hedi (who did not last long ... Parvo) and reminds me of my Struddell (ALL American Girl!.) At this point the only ... "Need to Know," with Boxer's is that later on if you want to get another Dog or Boxer ... "Do Not Get Another Female Dog!"

I like, prefer Female Boxer'in a home s, but with the girl's, "There can be only One (Female!) Lot's of threads on that! I came really close but I now have a Female Brindle Boxer/Pit. And adding a "Female Boxer," to my household ... would just not be wise ... So that is just a head's up for the future ... your gonna have your hands full now. :)

I learned that the hard way with my first boxer was female ,she was the best! Then we got a female amstaff/boxer mix and that went bad!
Now I have my female(which is my preference) and a male morkie 😂so far so good …but all the wiser!😉

Awww 🥰 Adorable‼😘🐶 She looks a lot like our female boxer Cedar. Her brother Beno (that a friend of mine owns) has the typical brachycephalic smooshy jowly face but she has a long snout & small jowls for a boxer.

What a cutie! Take the earlier advice of DNA testing. Seems like the only way that you'll be assured. Is the breeder not reputable? Take care!

There are very very few breeders where I live! Not many reputable breeders! I’m hoping she’s legit not because of my baby girl I love her regardless but I wouldn’t want to be supporting an unethical breeder
