ok just a few questions

i have a pair of boxers that we recently had pups from there are 8 total ' a good size liter"the mother isnt producing milk in two of here tits but the others are producing fine and the runt always gets pushed out of the way when they are eating and ends up on a nonproduceing tit so me and the wife decided it would be a good idea to try bottle feeding him he has taken to the bottle just fine so i guess my questions are this

what is a good supliment for dog breast milk

we have been using infamil formula for babies

is this any good for the pup

will this hurt the pup at all

is it going to efect the growth of the pupor will it help the growth

what are the bad sides of using baby formula to subsidize the lack of mothers breast milk

As Jordane said, Esbilac is what you should be using, not human infant formula. To be honest, I'm surprised that you haven't given this puppy the horrible runs from feeding him Enfamil.

Goats milk is another good replacer as well.

I also have to admit that I'm completely and totally disappointed that you haven't done even this little bit of research prior to breeding your dogs. . .

It has everything to do with the research, or obvious lack thereof that went into this particular breeding. One of the first things we learn about whelping and raising a litter is how to feed orphaned puppies or how to supplement litters that are too large. It's in every single whelping book that I currently have sitting on my book shelves, and it can be found in multiple places on the internet.

If you didn't even do this little bit of research, I'm largely skeptical that any other research went into bringing  these little lives into this world.

Did you really do them? Or did you only recently learn of these things on another message board?

According to your posts on the other board, your main motivation for breeding this litter was because your buddy makes a good living at breeding pits. . . Money was your primary motivator; not improving the breed.

I'm not going to go on. Between this board and the other, you've been properly educated on the proper ways of going about breeding.

Good luck with your puppy.
