Wanna know what else....This university (where the information is from) is about 30 minutes away from me. I was shocked to see that! Kinda crazy huh? I knew their Vet College was highly recognized but not so much that you would of heard about it.
It's odd to me that corneal dystrophy is in their "most important" diseases. . . Granted, corneal ulcers are common, but this really isn't a breed that is largely CERF'ed (actually, you'd be VERY hard pressed to find a responsible breeder who CERF's, as it's not even recommended by our parent club). Honestly, I've seen Autoimmune thyroiditis and hypothyroidism (actually, I argue that this condition is rampant in our breed) and Hip Dysplasia much more often than I have corneal dystrophy.
